Malena has been an actress and producer since she won her first awards for both categories in Venezuela’s national theater competition “José Angel Porte Acero” during her highschool years. She has participated in more than 70 plays, feature films, television series and soap operas, being “Yo Quisiera” in Spain by Mediaset the most recent. She is part of the cast in the film "La Distancia más Larga" by Claudia Pinto-Emperador which won Best Opera Prima at the 2015 Platinum Awards, 2014 winner of the Glauber Rochas Award and nominated for the 2015 Goya Awards for Best Latin American Film among many other prizes. Malena is nominated by the Venezuelan Film Academie ACACV as best actress for the Platino Awards 2019 for her performance as Desideria Meléndez in the film "Death in Berruecos" by Caupolicán Ovalles. Some of her recent films include "Los 8-6" by Javier Mujica, and "Conejo" and “Histeria” both by Carla Forte. Currently, she also develops her passion as a feature film and television series producer collaborating with teams in different countries in the genesis and supervision of content, as well as developing financial strategies. A long and rich career that begins at a very young age when Malena purposely immersed herself in all the diverse areas of performing such as theater, musicals, films, soap operas, television series, advertising commercials, dubbing, voice overs and radio in Spain, Venezuela, Peru and the United States. She has a Bachelor in Fine Arts in "Acting" MAGNA CUM LAUDE from the prestigious Boston University. Her training also includes a long number of diplomas dictated by personalities from the world of cinema and entertainment, such as Thomas Babson from the TV series Cheers, Robert Mckee, Paul Calderon, Juan Pablo Felix and directors such as Paco Cabezas and Eduardo Chapero-Jackson among others. Malena speaks fluent english, spanish, italian and medium level french.
